Yesterday was so beautiful!
It was Christmas day and was home for it. Wasn’t to sure I was going to enjoy it because this would have been the first Christmas home, with the house half empty and no plans on seeing other family members besides those in the house. Our Christmas is usually spent in Pretoria with other family members, tons of food, pictures and good laughs. But this one was a little different.
We had just finished doing the chores and my sister decide to still keep the Christmas spirit by dressing up in new Christmas clothes and taking tons of pictures and laughing together. And as usual the ladies were in the kitchen making Christmas lunch for the rest of the family. My spirits were lifted slightly and eventually to the limit as my cousin just being, himself cracks us up with his Frenglish (French + English). You that you laughed real good if you are crying and you have to run outside to breath before you collapse, and you come back with a laughing headache.
So initially I thought this was going to be a bummer of a Christmas but I guess in some occasions you need to be comfortable with the situation you’re in. It is not always about the people you spend your time with, rather how you spend it with those people.
Happy Holidays, Feliz navidad, Joyeux Noël and Merry Christmas 🎅🎄🎁
